Hey All,

I have one question related to the pressure vessel Jacket. I am going to repair the jacket of vertical jacketed pressure vessel. I come to know that any repair on the jacketed side of the pressure vessel is now not mandatory for the hydro test. Is it true? please give your feedback.

Repairs, in general, fall under an array of requirements that vary depending on the circumstances.
What was the original Code?
What is the Code being used to make the repair?
What does the jurisdiction say?
What does the Inspector say (if there is one)?

Assuming this is an ASME vessel and the NBIC is being used for the repair, the method used to verify the condition of repair falls onto the Authorized Inspector along with coordination from the jurisdiction.

I know this is a little late of a response, but hopefully it is helpful.
