I have a question I have a CT with two taps 1s1-1s2 200/5 1s1-1s3 300/5. Can I used them both example for metering and relaying cause I have only one core.

Thanks and regards

Hi,

You can't do that. There is one continuous secondary winding
on the CT with taps at 40 turns and then 60 turns. The primary
has one turn. The (amps * turns) on the primary needs to equal
the (amps * turns) on the secondary, and if you attempt to use
both ratios at once, the amp turns won't balance as you expect.

You can get 100/5 by connecting between 1s2 and 1s3 for whatever
that's worth.

Thanks,
Alan

It's better for you, to use only 1 core (for example the highest one : 300/5), then you connect to the relay. And for the meter, you can use ACT with ratio 5/1 or 1/1 depend on you need. the ACT connect in series with the relay.

You can put the relay and the meter in series on the same tap.
