I need a water jet of 10 bar pressure. What are my options?

I want to test seals in my new gearbox and want to project water onto the seals from outside.
The pressure I want is 10 bar pressure and I need a flat water jet.

I am thinking of ways to make my tap water pressure increase to 10 bar. Is that possible? Can I use any special type of nozzle or use any pressure increasing pumps in my water line?

Or do you guys have other ideas?

Most domestic water supplies are about 3 BAR. Getting that up to 10 BAR is easy, but will require more power if you need more pressure at the same flow rate.

You didn't say what flow you need, but if you need a high flow rate, you will need more power, or you will have store the energy and release it when needed.

You could always buy a pump???

... or you could make an intensifier, or you could just use an air compressor to pressurize a (sturdy) tank of water.

Simplest way is to buy, hire or borrow a pressure washer. You will need to turn the pressure down or stand back a little - they are typically 100bar or more.
