Hello,

We just installed new machines (CNC milling, lathe, drilling and saw machine) in our shop (we had non before), and I want some ideas for tools storage and arrangements, bench setup, measurement tool area, .. etc.
I would love to see some of your ideas, even if it's a bit messy.

Baraa Karam - you need to look at how you want the work to flow through your shop. Minimize the movement of in-process work and try to have material receiving in a location that places raw materials near to the process-centers. Plan on tool storage near machining-centers. Make the inspection stations convenient to work areas.

Also think about where maintenance will be done.
Where will you install new tools into holders and such.
We had storage that could be accesses from both sides.
That way when we were delivering tools to a machine we didn't have to enter the machinist's work area.
We could do it from the outside.
