Hi,

I want produce our drawing inserting the PDF or the image in our specification.
I haven't found the manner to insert the PDF, but the image yes.
Anyway the image is present, but I can see it.
See the image attached.
Solutions ?

Thank you...

Maybey layer settings, try move it to layer 10 or any layer where you also have solids on.
Or try the layer visible in view button and reset layer settings.

Michaël.

Hi Micky,
thank you for the solution, but nothing.
The image in the specification is not visible.

Hi John,
when I'm in the specification I do Insert->Image.
I don't see the image (.PNG), but with the GIC I export the PDF of the specification and the image is visible.

Thank you...

Please use NX terminology when describing what it is that you're attempting to do. Also spell out obscure acronyms, such as 'GIC'.

Are you sure that GIC is not part of Teamcenter? Teamcenter is NOT NX.

I was limiting my comments to what can be done inside of NX and NX only. You can add an image to the face of a Drawing, but that image can only be in JPEG, PNG or TIFF format. Those are the only image formats supported. PDF is NOT an image format but rather a digital document standard.

Hi John,
maybe my English is not so clear, but I wrote that I put a .PNG in the specification (drafting).
The PNG is not visible as the image attached before.
If I export the specification to PDF via TeamCenter GIC tool or via File->Export-PDF NX command, the image is visible.
So in my first post I asked if there is a command in NX that permit me to put a PDF in the specification as OLE object and why I can see the image in the specification.

Thank you...

Maybey a stupid question, but the image you are trying to insert, has it a black background?

Michaël.

Yes Micky, black background but colored line.

Thank you...

Try to change it to a white background and black lines, just an idea.

Or convert it to a jpeg.

I had NO problem creating a drawing in NX 7.0.1.7 and placing your image using...

Insert -> Image...

...on the face of that drawing, as shown in the attached image.

Hi John,
I resolve if the specification is in monocrome.
Monocrome specification can handle unassociated dimensions that in colored specification has different color ?

Thank you...
