Hi,

I have UG NX 7.5.5.4 CAD tool and ECTR (Its a SAP based PDM/PLM tool). I want to import UG model file and drawing file into ECTR. Model file and drawing file are separete files and having associativity. When I right click on the folder in ECTR and select IMPORT PARTs, and select model and drawing file from my hard drive, model shows no problem but drawing file shows error for import. It says DTYPE IS MISSING. PLEASE CHECK CUSTOMIZING. I don't know where to change customised setting to import drawing file.
Is there any one came across same issue.

Thanks
Girish

This sounds like something that you really need to take up with the vendor who supplied you with this "SAP based PDM/PLM tool".

Now if you had decided to purchase Teamcenter istead...

Thanks for the answer. I am not the decision maker for the software purchase.
However I have used Teamcenter engineering with Pro-E earlier and then shifted to UG. I know Teamcenter is a powerfull data management tool.

Thanks

It was not meant to be personal as I was using the 'royal' you...

And of course, there lies the problem; virtually all speakers of English misuse the word 'you' since if I HAD intended it to be personal I should have written "Now if thou had decided to purchase Teamcenter istead..." but while that may sound archaic, in reality it's the PROPER way to address someone in the second person singular.
