Hello, I am trying to import a border and format from v4.22 onto a sheet in a v5 drawing. I can bring it in as a .dxf or .dwg but it then becomes exploded in to lines , polylines etc. I would like it to remain draw text so it can easily be edited on the fly. I am very new to v5 and have had no formal training. Maybe ther is a better way to do this other than importing. I can open the .model of the border and format in v5 no ploblem. It just won't let me copy and paste. I believe it's a detail onece I open it in v5. I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance !

You are better off replicating it in V5.
Several methods can be used.
Try using script to create a format there are several examples provided.

You can also create a document template.

I figured it out thanks. All I do is paste the existing 4.22 border and format into the new v5 drawing then use the instantiate command and it comes in to the backgroun perfectly. All the text is still draw text and very easy to edit. Thanks again !

Sounds like that works for you.
Go ahead and check out the sample scripts because it gives you the capabilty to resize a drawing.
Basicaly you can have one script to do frame and titleblock
for all your drawing formats.
I have the titleblock completly filled out for the designer automaticaly driven from the work order text.
