Inclined Nozzles on all Equipment

In my current project many Nozzles on all type ofequipment are rotated 6 deg upward.
What may be the possible Reason for this. Even pumps suctions from tanks are rotated. all manholes TI PI connection are also rotated.

Perhaps to avoid that fluid remains in the pipes when the machines are stopped.
