Hi,

I'm trying to include triaxiality dependence within the damage evolution law. In Abaqus, I can define the damage evolution law in a tabular form, which relates the damage variable, D, and the displacement. My question is whether or not can I include triaxiality dependence as an additional column in the tabular form (field variable dependence).

I do not understand very well in which way the 'field variable' dependence works.

Thank you very much!

It should be straight-forward to do. You can check the Ductile Damage material property for how it is implemented.

Thanks for your comment. However, the problem is that the tabular form for the damage evolution law relates the damage variable (D) and the displacement. I know that additional columns can be added as Field 1, Field 2,... but I have no experience with this option. My question is how to indicate that Field 1 correspond to stress triaxiality (TRIAX), in my case.

Thanks again!
