Dear all,

I need to know if there are substantial differences on how datum target position must be indicated in the drawing comparing ISO and ASME standard. As far as I remember the position of a target datum point must be indicated with basic dimensions. Is that true also for ISO GPS standard?
I know that the standard for ISO is 5459:2011 but unfortunately I can not afford to buy it just to this simple doubt.

I hope your gentlemen can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Filippo

Hi CheckerHater,

Many thanks for your quick reply! I saw the picture you have enclosed... I can't understood why the picture shows some basic dimension and some reference without... do you know why?

Thanks again!

keep in touch
