I have a large vessel (assume >100,000 ft3) equipped with a 2 inch ID butterfly valve that opens when the internal pressure is 6 inches H2O above atmospheric. The gas is CO2. I ‘m thinking some form of Bernoulli's equation would allow me to calculate the initial flow (ACFM) when the valve tips but I cannot seem to get there. Ideas?
