Inspect and calculate large masses of concrete

Hi!

I am used to inspect and calculate any type of steel structures, and I know how to inspect reinforced and unreinforced concrete bridges. However, I don't have much experience inspecting and calculating large masses of concrete such as concrete dams. What are your tips, tricks and references?
