Hi, I own NX 1904 Mach 1 and I have a dongle sentinel and a license file and the installation files.
What is the best way to install NX so that it communicates with the dongle?
Thanks.

They still allow dongles? I thought they phased them out in favor of "license borrowing".
Your VAR is probably best equipped to answer this question.

www.nxjournaling.com

Install NX, when prompted for a license server, enter in the full path & filename of your license file.
e.g: c:\licensefiles\licensefile.lic (the file extension can be .txt, .dat or .lic it doesn't matter as it's a text file anyway).
Also make sure that this license file is put in a location that you won't delete by accident.

Once NX is installed, you need to install the driver for the dongle.

Download from the above link. When downloaded, UNPLUG the dongle, then install the driver. Once the driver installation is complete, reboot your computer, then login and the dongle can then be plugged back in. The dongle will then be recognised and the appropriate driver will be applied to your system.

Also before starting NX for the first time, you will have to run the NX Licensing Tool to specify the bundle you have.
Select your bundle on the left and click the green arrow to add to the applied bundles list (see picture below). Then click Apply and you can then start using NX.
