Considering 5 psf wind, what horizontal deflection criteria is recommended for interior CFS stud walls with a gypsum and plaster finish.

A general contractor has a steeel stud program, apparently from Dietrich, that allows him to have 6" 20 gage x 27'-0" studs at 16" oc, using L/120. For gypsum finishes, I have always considered L/360. Is that the vertical deflection criteria?

Please advise ... Thank you ...

For plaster finishes, L/360 has been used successfully for many years. L/120 would be considered wholly unacceptable.

Besides, you are talking about a 2.7 inch deflection. Not very practical.
