I have a interior wall I want to pen up thats in the center of the trusses Not on the end of the house.. It looks like the wall is under whats called the bottom chord?? Does the bottom chord support anything if I remove the 20ft span of wall will it fall or no weight??I can send pics if it helps I really appreciate in advance.

Depends on the truss design. If its like 30', 2x4's, 2'-0 oc, no more than about a 45 psf loading - probably OK.

Other than that - it needs to be checked!!

Also - look under the wall. If it is NOT setting on an I-beam it is probably not a load bearing wall - UNLESS the designer did some tricks.

Suggest you hire your local structural engineer for a look/see. We have to eat, too!!!

yeah id like too but the fastest ones says he needs a month I know better safe but Id like to start. Its only one story and it looks like its sitting on a beam under the floor but the end of the trusses are both on foundation walls so i assumed no weight in the center...

The span I want to removed is about 14 feet if thats matters at all looks like it was stick built using 2x6 for the truss

Strongly suggest you find another engineer. I do these all the time. Average turn around is 2-3 days. I guess that's why my phone rings all the time. AND I charge pretty good for that service - but people really don't seem to mind.

I have done things in less than an hour. Say you have a good customer that has 10 carpenters on the job and NEED help. Well carpenters here go out for about $65.00 - $70.00 per hour or so. You do the math!!
