I am trying to run an optimization in NX7 and am getting an "Internal Error: Memory Access Violation" message when I run the optimization. Anyone know what would cause this error?

Possibly a corrupt part.
You may need to call the TAC and send them your part/file.

To the best of my understanding the "internal error" itself means in that strange error message coded way of speaking that the NX software blames the operating system for its problems. So whenever you do get such an error message the things to do are to attempt a part cleanup, reboot your system or try another machine if you have one available to attempt the same remedy on you part. Usually one of the above is sufficient to solve such errors.

Hello!,
If you are running NX7 on any Windows 32-bits the most probably reason of the error is not enought RAM memory available. Try to run in another machine with any Windows x64 (Vista x64, XP x64 or Windows 7 x64) with say 8 GB RAM and I am sure you will be success.
Beste regards,
Blas.

I am running with Windows 7 64 bit and 8GB of RAM.

I have contacted GTAC, they are looking into it right now.

Thanks everyone
