My company still references DOD-STD-100 in many documents, I am updating one now. Are there any "gotchas" in just replacing with ASME Y14.100? IHS says this is very old, DOD was replaced with MIL and then ASME. I know the paragraph numbers will be different, any other issues?
Thanks,
Frank

I don't know any up front.
But, if you're in aerospace/military, you may have a lot of customer docs to update.

For reference, DOD-STD-100G was cancelled and superseded by the following ASME standards:

ASME Y14.100 - Engineering Drawing Practices
ASME Y14.24 - Types and Applications of Engineering Drawings
ASME Y14.35M - Revision of Engineering Drawings and Associated Documents
ASME Y14.34M - Associated Lists

Best to review these documents and understand the differences beyond just the ASME Y14.100 standard.
