Is it acceptable to use an IP65 CE rated HMI (24VDC) with a stainless steel enclosure (NAME 4X) in a UL listed product? If so, what needs to be considered in order for this combination to pass muster with UL?

Be aware: Currently, manufacturers may have UL 1995 certified products evaluated to UL 60335-2-40. UL 1995 will remain a valid certification standard through 01 JAN 2024, when it will be effectively obsoleted. At that time, UL 1995 will no longer be used to certify new products.

30 Nov 2012: UL 60335-2-40 (1 ed) published. Covers products < 600 V. Does not include requirements for the use of A2 and A3 (flammable) refrigerants.
15 Jul 2015: UL 1995 (5 ed) published, covering all products.
15 Sep 2017: UL 60335-2-40 (2 ed) published. Covers units up to 15 kV, partial units, and revised electric heat requirements. Includes requirements for use of A2 and A3 reffrigerants.
Dec 2018: UL 60335-2-40 (3 ed) out for ballot. Adds requirements for A2L refrigerants. Aligns with UL 1995.
06 Feb 2019: UL 60335-2-40 ballot closes.
31 Jul 2019: Existing products impacted by (but not yet complying with) the new Electric Heat Backup Protection requirements form UL 1995 (5 ed) MUST be evaluated for compliance.

01 Jan 2024: ALL EQUIPMENT PREVIOUSLY TESTED TO UL 1995 SHALL BE RETESTED TTO THE REQUIREMENTS OF UL 60335-2-40 (3 ed).

Thanks for the warning. We are aware of the obsolescence. Assume that the question also applies to UL 60335-2-40. Any advice?
