Hi

I want to design a gadget which should store a particular function ( say ON --of TV).So tomorrow no need to use TV remote....
Just press the key of this gadget.
The basic concept of this project is to make people free of different remotes..

First if i will be able to work with one function then i can integrate more.

Firstly, I would have thought "design" and "readymade circuit diagrams" don't really go together, unless you are planning on reverse engineering (read copying) the design.

Secondly, I think you are about 10 years too late in the concept. You can buy reasonably cheap ones in mass electrical stores. There is even PDA software that enables your Palm or IPAQ or whatever to learn all your remote control commands, and they work quite well.

Actually, Office Max had a purchase price rebate on an RCA universal remote two weeks ago. Could have bought one for about $0.40 in sales tax and postage for the rebate.

Additionally, I don't think you realize the complexity of the system. Remotes for various brands require different codings and timings. Your system would need to be able to learn all of them.
