Is It Possible To Maintain Transparency/Translucency Of A solid When Exporting It As A Parasolid

I know it's a long shot, but thought I'd ask anyway. Anyone know if it's possible to maintain translucency of a solid if you export it as a para-solid? Whenever I perform an export parasolid, transparency is lost and it becomes a fully shaded solid.
