Issue with intersection curve in Sketcher 1

I occasionally use intersection curves in Sketcher to create curves at the intersection of my Sketcher Plane and faces of my solid. The problem I'm experiencing is that when I make a change to the solid body the intersection curve jumps from the Sketch layer to whatever the work layer is at the time. Is there a way to force it to stay on the Sketch layer?
