Jetty stability

Hi,

We have a kind of a debate in the office so it would be nice to listen other opinions around here:

Would you consider that bracing is required at this jetty (see attached photo). By the looks of the connections look pinned, not moment connections.

The posts may be stable as cantilevers. Depends on embedment depth.

Agree with steveh. Also the height to width ratio is quite low, the angle to post connection can be quite rigid, if welded.

I would prefer that the H piles were driven such that the strong axis will be parallel to the short direction. The free height of the piles are variable and the walkway composed of wood planks..

My suggestion will be the use of horizontal bracing ..
