Joining two sheetmetal bodies using a mitre flange?

I have two sheetmetat bodies and I would like to join them using a mitre flange. I have defined the mitere flange using a sketch.

At the moment I can only get the mitre flange to attach to one of the bodies.

SM bodies can only be joined with a Base Flange or Edge Flange.

Why not start with the fully formed extrude?
