Is there a prescribed offset/eccentricity to use for the design of the attachment of the ladder to the building. IE, the point load on the ladder is 1'6" away from the rungs? I couldn't find a prescribed distance and I thought there should be one. Thanks.

I don't believe there is any specific requirement in AS 1657 (I realise that's probably not the code you're working to), but it would make sense to check the connection between the ladder and the building based on an offset of about 0.5 m as you said.

Thanks...
