My Hilti laser measuring device has been invaluable. It has a range of 200m with an accuracy of 3mm (so the specs say). Usually use it for <100' and it is excellent. Problem out of doors seeing the beam... even with the 'red' glasses. Very useful for locating pipes and cable trays. Bought it for use in cable tray measurement for a project and the company also purchased one.
