Hi,

Please, download the attached file.
I need to create a parameterized part, using whatever this file contains.
I got this file importing (Import/Part) a “DirectModel Document (.jt)“ file.
Never worked with this kind of file (DirectModel Document (.jt)), I can’t select anything.
Do you have any solution for this task?

Thanks

Can you provide the original JT file?

Hi,
This is FACETED data and there are multiple approach you can take.
In my case i have used Four point surface to fit surfaces and then trim them off (but in NX8.5 i would recommend creating some points first and then group and finally use FIT PLANE....).For sheet metal parts this makes more sense.Else you can create a suitable plane and take section and then proceed with those curves.
I am attaching a parasolid file (i have NX8.5 with me so no idea if NX8.5 file will do for you).
Please note that i have not created cutouts and pockets and since i am travelling so might need to check the accuracy of my rapid creation...

Thanks, kapmnit123,

My company has NZ7.5 only! I can't use later version!

The link for the supposed .jt file doesn't seem to work. Could try it again, perhaps zip it first.

Any example of extracting curves/faces/solid from LIGHTWEIGHT body would be helpful.
I just need to learn how to create math data using LIGHTWEIGHT body........
Thanks
