Lincoln DC1000 machine 1

I notice lincoln machine for submerged arc welding has 2 terminal for positive and 2 for negative. Why the need for 2 terminal? Anyone can explain.

Maybe has an NL Option kit ? whatever that is ?

Running pairs of cable in parallel allows for smaller cables. There is no off the shelf cable that is rated for 1000 amps.
