linear load in Pro/Mechanica Independent Mode

Hi all,

I am working on a press fit problem, basically it is two circular rings fit togather. The bigger ring has a 5.0in external diameter, while the cross section is a 0.5 x 0.5 square. On the external surface of this ring, there is a circular load which is 15 lbs per inch, it should locate in the middle of the thickness. I created a circular curve geometry in Independent Mode, and applied the linear load on this circle, but when I use "Check Model", a message show "This curve has a load, but is not part of any element". Anybody can help on how to model this kind of load in such a case?

Anny,

You may have a problem with associativity. The curve might not be associated with the element geometry. A way to fix this might be to re-create the curves by projecting them into the geometry of interest. This may help to enforce some associativity.
