Hi,
How could I create in an assembly, a link between a component and its mirror?
I need to have on the mirror all the updates that they may potentially occur in the future.
Thanks

OK, attached is an example of an assembly with right- and left-hand parts. The left-hand part is the 'Parent' and the right-hand part is the 'Child', which means that edits made or features added to 'Bracker_Left' will be reflected in 'Bracket_Right', however adding features to the right-hand part or making edits using Synchronous Modeling will NOT be reflected BACK to the left-hand part.

This was accomplished by using WAVE linking and creating a 'Mirrored' body, using the following workflow:

First create your master or 'Parent' part. Now create an assembly and add the 'Parent' part.

Then create a datum plane so that we have something to reference for the mirror operation.

Now create a new empty part and add it to the assembly as a second component, and make this new component the Work Part while the Assembly is still the Displayed Part.

Now go to...

Insert -> Associative Copy -> WAVE Geometry Linker...

...and select the 'Mirror Body' Type (make sure that in the Settings section of the dialog that the 'Assocative' option is toggled ON). Now for the 'Body', select the solid in the 'Parent' component and then the Datum Plane and hit OK. Now set the Assembly to be the Work Part and you're good to go.

Once you've completed this and saved all the files, you can use either 'Bracket', with or without its 'twin', in any assembly you wish.

And if you don't want the 'Child' to update if any NEW features are added to the 'Parent' when you create the 'Mirror' toggle ON the 'Fix at Current Timestamp' option found in the Settings section of the WAVE Geometry Linker dialog. Note that edits to any feature created before the Mirror operation will be reflected in the 'Child', but any new feature added will NOT.

Anyway, take a look at this as well as reviewing the documentation for the WAVE Linker dialog (just press the 'F1' key while the dialog is open).
