Hello everyone,
I want to analyse a structure for its Ultimate limit state and for that I need the moments due to the self weigth and due to an distrubuted applied load. SEPERATElY. To do this I created, apart from the already existing dead load, a load pattern for this distributed load with: live type and 0 for the self weigth multiplier. After I created a load case for that new load.
My question is, do I have to run my model first for the dead load and without the new distributed live load? And after apply the distributed load and run it in the new load case? Will this give me two different moments where one of them is just due to the self weigth and the other just for the distributed load?
Thank you so much and sorry if it is a basic question but I am new to SAP2000.
