LOCKED OBJECT

I am working in AutoCAD Mechanical.

I am trying to change the color of a line, but I am getting the error:
"1 locked object not updated and removed from the selction set".
So therefor I cannot change the color of it, and I am unable to delete it.

The geometry that I am working on was brought in from another file.

Is there a way to edit this line or delete it?

Sounds like you are editing a block or xfref and have selected an object outside of the block or xref. You can add the object to the selection set, change it an remove it, or just wait until you have closed the block / xfref edit and are back in your main drawing.
