My beloved Logitech M125 broke. Pressing the wheel no longer does MB2.
So i bought a Logitech MX Anywhere2 ( Without the "s")
- It got a 5 ranking in the thread: thread561-400707 which i found promising.

But, Pressing the wheel does not do "middle mouse button" ( MB2)
Is it only me / my mouse or is it like this ?
- I had to map a separate button to "middle button" to get the MB2 funktionality in NX.
( NX without MB2 is no fun.)

Another issue is that my laptop with integrated Bluetooth adapter refuses to "see" this mouse.
I had to use that USB Bluetooth plug.
using this mouse on my second laptop which doesn't have a integrated Bluetooth adapter is now actually less fun than if it would have been wired from start...

Correct...Pressing the MX2 Middlebutton is chaning the scroll function of the wheel.
You can also press the scroll wheel to the side (left en right) those "buttons" you can also give another function.

I had the same issue with the internal bluetooth of my laptop. Now using the dongle.

In the specifications of the mouse it states Bluetooth 4.0
I think that might be why my laptop doesn't see the mouse.
Mine seems to be 3.0

Ronald, It sounds as if you are using one of these.
Did you map the small button behind the wheel to MB2 ?
How does this work in real life ?

Tomas

Yes I have one.. No I didn't map the small button.too far behind to be comfortably pressed.

I mapped the middlemouse button to the tilt function of the scroll wheel.

i can't really decide if i should keep it or return it...
The size is perfect for my mobile life and i have good experience with Logitech's mice since before , but... the absence of the MB2 and the Bluetooth..., hm.

Your mapping is probably better than mine.

3Dconnexions wireless mouse could be an alternative, but it costs 2,5 times the MX anywhere, and there is no chance to try before buy.

Returning it to store.
The Middle mouse button workaround is a workaround, and a pretty bad one too.
I have searched Logitech's forums, I am not the only complaining about this.
Very many CAID/CAD/CAM/CAE systems use MB2 to manage the graphics etc, and there seems to be NO true fix.
Logitech doesn't even answer to these posts.
Logitech has created a premium mouse, that doesn't have "middle mouse button". Amazing.
- Anybody else than me who uses MB2 when surfing to open links in new tabs / close tabs ?
Score (1-5) : 0
