Hello,

I am working on a drawing that has an existing structure and the steel used is an existing 16WF78 beam. I need the beam width for this size beam.
I have gone through so many papers about steel sizes, but I am unable to find anything for this type of beam.

If anyone on this forum is able to help me with this, it would be great. I want to learn more about this type of beam, so if anyone can share a link, please do.
Thanks in advance.

Priya

I went through this site:

To this random page:

See page 21 of that pdf - you can see a 16" wide flange that weighs 78 lbs/ft, which may fit your case. I might look around a few other references, maybe specifically to the time period/region if possible, just to make sure it's correct.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. After posting my question, I was able to find a site where I was able to find the answer. Linking the site here for future ref.

Also, I did go to the site you linked in your answer but I wasn't able to find that chart. I really appreciate you took the time to find it for me. I will save it for future use.
