Machined finish symbols 3

Is anyone familiar with machine finish symbols on prints from Japanese companies? Following the symbols are Rz100
on another feature Rz25, Ry6.3 . I'm at a loss, I don't have the expertise for these. And thats why I'm here. This is the place for answers. Thanks.

If you have a machinerys handbook check page 713.

6.3 MicroMeters = 250 MicroInches
25 MicroMeters = 1000 MicroInches

just my 2 cents.
I hear every day it called surface finish. It's not a finish but a surface roughness. I see dwgs all the time with it called out on the finish note, should not be. Not picking on anyone, just wanted to be clear. Sorry.

I would read the disclaimer at the bottom of

http://www.predev.com/smg/parameters.htm

page....it reads under construction! I would verify this data against the correct ISO spec which is listed in the Machinerys Handbook. Out of caution I would not start using this data until you understand its origin. Best of luck
