MACRO PART NUMBER WILL BE THE SAME AS INSTANCE NAME, HELP

hi all,

i would like to create a macro that will change part number and will be the same as instance name.
because when i'm exporting catia product to 3dxml file it copies both partnumber and instance name in the specification tree, I only need to show instance name.

yep that would work, I've done it.

[li]you need to go with recursive script[/li]
[li]you should avoid instance with same name in a product level, as the script should not take long to run, you can think about using 2 passes, first one with dummy name or dummy number to clean everything then second pass would make it good.[/li]
[li]you can use object Dictionary to easily keep track of number of instance of a partnumber.[/li]
[/ul]

Well, I just found what you can see below...even if you can configure nodes visualization, your instances names will be shown in 3dxml...
