On our FCC unit we have two shell & tube heat exchangers in series. On tube side we have the bottom product of the main column (hot fluid). On shell side we have the slurry row oil (cold fluid).
Hot fluid goes in at 360º C and out at 182ºC.
Cold fluid goes in at 107ºC and out at 260º C.
Hot fluid pressure 8.3 Barg
Cold fluid pressure 13.2 Barg.
Does anybody from the forum experience tubes leaking in these exchangers? Does the tubes got plugged with coke formation? After shutting down for repair the leakage how long it takes to clean the bundles?
Any feed back from the forum on this subject would be appreciated
