I am wondering if there is a way to always make certain layers set theselves to a certain color and save it that way? So everytime you put something on that layer it automatically got updated to that color.

Thanks

Now as an alternative, you could create a 'Group' object on a layer and assign certain 'default' display properties, such as color, font, width, etc, to the Group object. Therefore, whenever an object is added to this group, it will inherit the display properties of that Group.
