Hi,
as you can see in the video attached, I'm not able to add mates on a component that was promoted for machining.
Where I wrong ?
On the promoted body there are welds.
The license is floating and now is busy by other.
Can this situation be the cause of this strange behavior ?

Thank you...

Which part if the Promoted body? If it's the body from which you're selecting faces, then don't expect it to move since its position is being determined by its parent. Now if you're adding components and you're not interesting in moving the promoted body, just 'attaching' the newly added component to it, it shouldn't be a problem.

John,
I don't want to move the promoted body and I know that the promoted body is linked for all by it parent.
I don't understand why I can't select promoted body face.
You suggest me to open an IR ?

Thank you...

Maybe make sure your selection filter is set to "No Selection Filter"

I had NO problem selecting the faces of the promoted body when I was creating a Constraint.

No selection filter enabled, if I go on other no promoted component the face is highlighted.
I will try tomorrow to export for your examination.

Thank you...

Hi Cubalibre00,

as i understood from your video, you are using nx7. dont you affraid of using assembly constraints in nx7? assembly constraints in nx7 has some bugs if you are working with wave linked bodies (and I believe the same could happen with promoted bodies). try to swtich to the old mating conditions and then do your mates.

also you can check:
