Materials-SW2004

I was wondering if anyone has customized the materials database in SW2004 using in-lbs? I would like to have all my materials to show in UPPER case (for BOM use) and to be able to edit/create my own material density. I'm able to copy the SW default database, but can't seem to switch to cubic inch pounds. Thanks!

If your asking about changing the Physical properties of a material to different units. You can't... it's a limiation.

Thank you for your quick response. Can I use a formula to convert the Physical Properties? Would this be a good approach?

Not to my knowledge you can't because it is a limitation.

You will have to convert your Cubic In lbs. to In-lbs.

This is an Enhancement request if you ask me.

Scott,
I called our local tech support on this issue. He said that SW is aware of the units not changing from metric to inches, and the fix should be in the next service pack (SP02)
