Dear All,

I've just started in a new company and they've given me a nice new 64 Bit PC with Windows 7, and asked me to install Mathcad 12...(?!)

Installation said it went OK but it doesn't open let alone work.

Any ideas?? Think I'm asking the impossible....

Did you try different compatibility settings?

There's also an XP emulator that you can get for Windows 7

Oh, and you probably don't REALLY want M12 if you can avoid it; that version was short-lived because it was extremely buggy.

Thanks everyone,

Unfortunately I have to make do with what we've got at the moment but I'm push for the latest version...

Mechwitch, did you get MathCAD 12 to work on Windows 7 64 bit? If so what steps did you take?

Hi there JC33.

Couldn't get it working at all..... Dealing with it the old-fashioned way: I now kick someone off another PC to use it...!!

Have you looked at getting the XP emulator installed on W7?

Yes, the XP emulator didn't seem to work. The software seemed to install fine under the emulator but would NOT run.
