I have the exact problem as referenced by PhilLee in thread552-125597. I also made the mistake of generating a rtf file from the MathCAD document (version 14). Has anybody found a solution to this problem yet ?

Regards.

You've listed two problems. As was indicated in the answer to the previous poster, XML is text file, so you can potentially compare the text against another functional file and see if you can repair the XML.

Thanks, but fixing the XML is not straight forward and I could not spend too much time on fixing it. I could open the xml file with notepad or wordpad. But I could not paste the contents back into MathCAD in any other format than pictures or text strings. As I had a paper copy of the worksheet, my workaround was to create a new worksheet from scratch. I know it is not the solution, but I had no other choice given my time constraints.

I would be wary of converting to rtf format unless someone can explain what went wrong.

??? You shouldn't be able to convert to RTF and not leave behind the original file. RTF is just a printing output.
