Dear All,

I have some clarification on MAWP. I have reviewed one pressure vessel calculation. In which, the type of hydro test is UG-99(b)Note(36) and the vendor limit the MAWP with help of provision provided in the PV-Elite (Vendor has used 7barg in user defined MAWP Option). But my client specification says, "The maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) for vessel at the coincident design temperature shall be determined by calculations utilizing the actual metal thickness minus the corrosion allowance and shall be stated on the VENDOR’s drawing and calculations together with limiting elements. Nozzle thickness and reinforcement should not be the limiting factor for MAWP".

And my question is, In above case the vendor can able to limit the MAWP?.

Sounds like the vessel manufacturer has met (likely) the requirements of ASME Code. But they haven't met the commercial requirements of the purchase specification.

You can ask the manufacturer "How do you address this Clause in the Specification?" And you can ask your client "Well, what are you going to do about these guys?"
