Hello all

Does anyone know where I would be able to find the maximum heat flux for metals. In particular stainless steel and carbon steel. Also some typical heat fluxes for evaporation.

I have done a heat loss calculator for tanks, thickeners and pipes, but want to ensure that I am within the heat flux limits to help validate the model.

Thanks in advance

Cotter

The GPSA Engineering data book lists some typical maximum heat fluxes for different services, can't remember if they differentiate between different materials of construction.
