Maximum Length of PT Bridge beam for single live stressing

Hello guys!

According to AASHTO or other equivalent bridge code is there a specified limit for single live stressing of post tensioned bridge beams or box girders? usually for building the limit is about 32 meters, does that apply to bridges?

You'd have to do a parameter study (calculate frictional prestress loss for various girder configurations) on a select few cases relevant to you. In general, the friction loss increases with increasing angular change and tendon length, so a straight tendon is most favorable and a curved (say, mostly parabolic) tendon in a deep girder is less favorable w.r.t. frictional losses.
