Hi All,

I am qualifying a welding procedure for both 10" and 24" pipe using ASME 31.3. This is the code the company recommend.

Please can any one assist me on the position to cut the weldment for the Tensile, Impact, Hardness, macro, side bend and all weld metal test from according to B31.3.

I will also appreciate if anyone can assist me with an ASME B31.3 welding procedure qualification mechanical test request form

I am conversant with ISO standard but not with ASME B31.3

Thanks

Chitessy

Chitessy,
You must qualify your welding procedure in accordance with ASME IX.
B31.3 is the construction code - ASME IX is the qualification code for welding procedures and welders/welding operators.
All the required information you requested is in there.

DekDee,
Thanks so much. I was able to get ASME IX and everything I needed is just right there just as you said. I sincerely appreciate your help.

Once again, thanks so much.
