Hi,
Imagine an MV switchgear is going to bypass an isolated gap in a busbar/conductor, etc. I want to know if anyone has seen an MV cubicle design where both incoming and outgoing cables to both sides of the gap terminate in the same MV cubicle. Is that at all possible? is there any standard explaining limitations of such connection?
thanks.

Like the attached sketch.
Instead of two panels, both incoming and outgoing cables terminate in the same panel.
have you seen such a case?

Howdy 144X,
I believe what you are looking for is called metal-enclosed switchgear (as opposed to metal-clad switchgear).
In metal-clad switchgear the load connections are always contained within a separate compartment. Are you considering a circuit-breaker type of device or a load-interruptor-switch type of device?

Before stringent specification came about one could have it custom made eg CB panel plus a cable box on the side
however, It would need certification no doubt.
