Hello, Everyone.

The time has come for me to go through the things left behind by my late-husband (Military - Navy).

Could anyone tell me if the following manuals are something someone would want? I would hate to throw them into the burn barrel and then realize they could have been some use for someone else.

MIL-STD-100B (1967)
MIL-STD-16C (1961)
MIL-D-1000A and MIL-D-1000B (1975)
MIL-STD-100C (1975)

IF they would be useful to someone, I would be happy to mail them your way.

Thanks for your help!

Sue

Sorry for your loss.

All of those standards are long obsolete, and the current versions are freely available for anyone that needs them.

You can toss them in the barrel with no remorse.

Thank you very much for the offer. There are only a few of the old documents that retain some value; MIL-STD-8A, for example.
They are of use to only to those with long term contracts or building to meet old drawings, but they will either have them already or will ask for deviations to use later versions.

Details for the engineers:

MIL-STD-16C (1961) - available at https://quicksearch.dla.mil/qsDocDetails.aspx?ident_number=123964
MIL-STD-100 only goes back to D at https://quicksearch.dla.mil/qsDocDetails.aspx?ident_number=72837, but has been superseded entirely by ASME
MIL-D-1000 used to be a series of documents as was superseded entirely by DOD-d-1000, which is in turn superseded by MIL-DTL-31000
(paste 1000 as the Document Number in https://quicksearch.dla.mil/qsSearch.aspx)

Thank You Sue. We feel Your loss.
