Modelling of Threads on DesignSpace

I have modelled a 2"-12 UN threaded shaft used in a compression and tension cage. Is it possible to model the loading on the threads in DesignSpace or promechanica.

Modelling of threads is usually a nonlinear phenomena. Yielding will take place at thread roots. Also you will need a very fine mesh at the root of threads. DesignSpace is not a suitable platform for modelling threads. I have not used Promechanica.

What is the reason for modelling threads?

Why do you need to calculate thread stresses?
If you want, you can easily do a hand calculation. The answer will be about as accurate as any FE model, and will take, approximately, a few weeks less to complete. The hand calculation will take you 20 mins tops.

Gurmeet: it is easily possible to model screws and threads in Workbench. Anything is possible if you have the geometry.
