have an existing part being worked on. had to add a small clip.

set up a plane and datum axis. placed sketch on plane and datum axis. created small clip with sketch and extrude.

small clip needs to move.

edited plane and datum axis to move along the curve to new location.

sketch does not move. how do you get the sketch to follow its parents?

in catia this is a simple intuitive process. Painfully obvious that the dolts that write nx don't actually use nx.

Rather than creating an explicit Datum Plane and Datum Axis, which is referenced by the sketch, try using a Datum CSYS instead since it's much easier to move a Datum CSYS.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

I will try that method next.

For this instance is it possible to get the sketch to follow the plane and datum axis?

I have used the browse window in an attempt to get the sketch to move however nothing works as I am expecting it to.

When using the reattach button the sketch move to body plane and the diameter of a circle in the sketch increases 100 fold.

In the sketch make the lines colliner with the planer axis, then try moving theaxis when out of the sketch.
