Hi guys.
I am modelling a synchronous belts systems (Linear Positioners) in ADAMS Machinery. An Illustration of the system is attached. I want the mass in the system to follow a certian motion profile which is represented in the figure attached. I am using Pulley Actuation Input to get the desired motion which you can check from the dialogue box attached here. After the simulation, when I analyze the actuation torque (which ADAMS evaluates automatically), it is much higher than the real actuation torque. Can anyone explain how can we reduce the actuation torque for the belt and pulley system or how the ADAMS calculates the actuation torque based on the input actuation motion.
